Summer Lovin', had me a blast...

As Danny from Grease would say, "summer lovin', had me a blast." Kids are really taking in the summer and all it offers, especially the pool...

Growing up in Texas, I have fond memories of the pool. I spent countless hours swimming the summer away and hanging with friends. I hope our kids enjoy the same memories.

Fat Boy Belly Flop

Our neighbor, Greg Hoffman, defended his title as Belly Flop Champion today at Water World, the biggest water park in the U.S. KYGO did 2 for 1 tickets today so Jan and I made it a date. We went to cheer on Greg and support him all we could to help him 3-peat as champion. Here, Greg performs his warm-up routine on round 1 from the low platform...

And then "Big Sexy" challenges Greg with some serious talent...
Then on to the high platform for some hard-core floppin' and some increased pain factor...

And every fat-boy flopper needs a fat-boy supporter...congrats Greg, way to represent the Broadlands!

Father's Day

Wanna know my idea of a great Father's Day? Today was it. I woke up to a card from my wife and kids with a note offering breakfast...we waited until Jan got home from work and changed it to lunch and headed for Pearl Street to enjoy my personal favorite - Illegal Pete's (think local Qdoba or Chipotle...only much better). Employees are college students...hard workers and generous with portions.

Here's my splurge...chicken nachos with queso (spicy!), black olives, lettuce, pico de gallo, and I even went the extra mile with a little sour cream - yummy!

Enjoyed with my beautiful bride...

And my lovely children...

We then took in some entertainment at the International Festival on Pearl Street. Here are the talented Japanese drummers, Mirai Daiko...

And we went and visited the new sweet shop and watched a couple minutes of Charlie & the Chocolate Factory (original version) in style...

Jan bought me a new hat for the summer, because every bald man needs to keep the dome safe

Thank you guys for a great Father's Day. Very relaxing and fun!

Our Graduate

Jonatha graduated Kindergarten tonight. We're proud of her hard work this year at school and diligence in completing her school work and her effort to make not just friends, but lasting relationships with her classmates. She done good! Video of her class' performance to come soon.
