By the Tree

Kids smiling for Dad by our newly placed Christmas tree. We now have a nice collection of ornaments from our nine years of marriage, many of which came from Peter's mom. We also try to get a family ornament each year.

First Snow

Kids hurried out this morning to play in the first snow of the season. We're supposed to get 3-5 inches tonight. Pretty rare for our first snow to come this late in the year.

Jan on Top of the World

Jan hangin' at summit of A-Basin at 13,000 ft. It was cold when I snapped this one, about 10 degrees and windy. The powder on the mountain made up for the slight discomfort. We are basically sitting on the Continental Divide in this photo.

Why We Ski

Jan and I hit A-Basin and Keystone over the weekend. We had blue bird skies and soft snow. Both mountains received over 2 ft. of snow the previous five days. I love to board, but I enjoy the view just as much!

The Mountain is Calling

I cannot describe what this photo does to me. When you experience God's creation at 13,000 ft. you experience a connection to God himself. The Lord has given us such amazing beauty all around us and we should enjoy it. I am at unrest every year in November because I cannot wait to strap on my snowboard and cruise down the mountain. I plan to go this week and take it all in again for another season!
