Hike at Alice Park

Want to know what we mean by "life on life" at Emmaus Road? Here's a perfect example. Josh and I joined a couple of friends for a hike Saturday to Alice Park (start elev. 10,500). We hiked to 12,000 elev. for some stunning views and fantastic weather. The hike included trekking a glacier, rock climbing a steep face for 200 yards, a brief encounter with a marmot, cutting through waist high brush along a ridge, and trying not to fall on the way down the glacier, which I did, but just once :-). Most importantly was the fellowship with friends and a chance to do life with people we hope to lead to Christ. Pictured above is Brian, my neighbor and close friend. Also joining us was a very close friend from work, Patrick. The four us couldn't have bonded better on the trip, and I know God used this day to glorify himself in these new friendships and in the nature that surrounded us. The day ended with everyone planning another trip soon to either hike or do some mountain biking.

Isn't God great?
