Big Mountain...Move Over!

Big day for Jonatha on Monday as it was time to start tackling the big mountain with daddy. She was a little nervous at first, but had a breakthrough on the first run when she carved out 7 nice turns down a steep slope. Her caution quickly turned into "whew-hoo!" and "this is awesome!"...

Then Jonatha says "where are we going, Daddy?" I say, "it's time for the backside of the mountain for some fun. This is a run that leads you to Indian Peaks lift to access the goodies...

And, well...if you can manage Indian Peaks, you might as well try out your first black diamond run - Corona Bowl. Enjoy the ride down a 50 degree pitch full of fun...

Hot Doggy

Well, we eat pretty healthy at the Tighe house, but every now and then we just gotta splurge. Tuesday we started a fire outside and roasted hot dogs, marshmellows and had some good old fashion fun.

Jonatha says..."give me S'more!"

Aidan says..."Blaaaaaah!"

And to quote Dave Ramsey..."You gotta attack that debt, errrr, snack!"

Birthday Present

For my birthday on Monday, we took a hike up Red Rocks Trail in Boulder and then had a picnic in the canyon afterwards...

Not tired yet...only .3 miles into the trek...

Nice way to finish off the uphill with views of Boulder Creek Canyon from a cliff. Sucks living in Boulder County, doesn't it?

Can I Keep Her?

Okay Kautz's...I have a proposal. You get her during the week, I keep her on the weekend.

It's only fair. Afterall, I am an uncle to over 40 kids. What's one more? I am officially adopting baby Kate and you can't stop me. Okay, maybe you can...but she's still mine.

Sleeping Beauty

Last week, I was hanging out with Aidan and trying to convince him to rest for about a half hour. I even crawled into bed and snuggled with him so he would relax and get some sleep. He fought and fought the nap and finally, after a good 45 minutes, I let him off the hook to go play...

...I came downstairs about 10 minutes later and find this in the middle of the living room. Jan and I got a good laugh at this one. He is so determined and strong-willed. Didn't want the nap only because I was trying to get him to take one. Once he was given his freedom, he promptly hit the floor. I just had to take a pic.
